American Badminton Championship 1937

The US Badminton Championship in 1937 was the first edition of the national badminton championships in the USA. It took place in Chicago in early April 1937 . In the men's singles semi-finals, Ong Hock Sim eliminated Henry Reynolds from Chicago 10-15, 15-10 and 15-8, while Walter R. Kramer beat Chester Goss from Los Angeles with 15-4 and 15-6. Kramer received a silver bowl for his title win, which was named after the 1878 New York badminton pioneers Bayard Clarke and E. Langdon Wilks .
