Wanda Bergman

Wanda M. Bergman (born March 3, 1908 in Connecticut , † June 1983 ) was an American badminton player .

Career

Wanda Bergman was one of the most important American badminton players in the period before World War II . In 1937 she was second in the women's singles behind Bertha Barkhuff in the national championships . A year later she won the women's doubles title with Helen Gibson . She was runner-up in 1939 and 1942, and third in 1941.
