USSF-52 is a space mission of the United States Space Force and space service provider SpaceX planned for spring 2021 . It includes the launch of a military and / or intelligence satellite with a Falcon Heavy rocket. The mission was originally called AFSPC -52 and was renamed after the Space Force was founded.

The launch contract was tendered as part of the Air Force's EELV program and is worth $ 130 million . SpaceX won the tender in June 2018.
