US Gorée (Union sportive de Gorée) is a Senegalese football club from Gorée , a district of the capital Dakar , on the island of the same name, Île de Gorée .
The club was founded in 1933 and took part in the Coupe d'AOF , the cup competition of the French colonial federation of French West Africa , in the 1940s and 1950s . When he won the title in 1947, the successful professional in France Raoul Diagne played for US Gorée. Two more titles in this competition were later followed by national championship and cup titles in independent Senegal. For the 2009/10 season USG is playing in Ligue 1 , the highest Senegalese division.
