The ice hockey department of the French sports club US Métro from Paris existed from 1951 to 1971.

history

The hockey division of US Métro was founded in 1951 by Claude Pourtanel. In the 1954/55 season , the team took part in the game of the highest French ice hockey division for the first time . In this, the team has been a constant in the two decades of its existence. Most recently, US Métro took part in France's elite league in the 1970/71 season . Then team founder Pourtanel acquired the ice rink Patinoire privée de Viry-Châtillon , whereupon the ice hockey department of the US Métro went independent and founded the OHC Paris-Viry .
