The US Milanese (also called chess ) was an Italian sports club from the city of Milan ( Lombardy region ), which was founded in 1902 by Italians. Therefore only Italian nationals could become members of the association.

Football department

The club's football department was founded in 1903, and the team's shirt colors were white and black. Due to the dissolution of the soccer department of the SEF Mediolanum , many Mediolanum players switched to the US Milanese in 1905. In the seasons 1908 and 1909 the US Milanese experienced its most successful period when they were twice runner-up. Twice you only had to face the then top team SG Pro Vercelligive up. As a result, you could hold up to the 1923/24 season in the top division, where you could position yourself in midfield. In the 1922/23 season, the club was relegated to the 2nd division, the US Milanese stayed here until the 1926/27 season, when the second highest division was renamed the 1st division. In the 1927/28 season, the club rose again to the top division. However, the club was forced by the fascist leadership to join local rivals FC Internazionale Milan . At the same time, Inter was renamed SS Ambrosiana Milan .
