The Independent Voters Community Bonn (also: "Independent Voters Community Bonn", "UWG-BONN") was a group of voters from Bonn in North Rhine-Westphalia .
City council
In the 2004 local elections, the UWG Bonn received 1.2% of the vote and entered the Bonn city parliament with a city councilor. Since the local elections in 2009 , the UWG Bonn no longer has a mandate holder.
District offices
The UWG Bonn is not represented in the district offices of Bonn, Bad Godesberg , Beuel and Hardtberg .
Local election 2009
In the local elections in 2009, the UWG Bonn competed in the city council elections as well as in the elections to all four district councils of the city of Bonn. Heide Baach was also a candidate of her own for the office of mayor. With 657 votes or 0.51% in the election to the city council, however, they clearly missed the re-entry. The UWG Bonn fared similarly in the election for the district representatives, where it achieved its best percentage result in the Hardtberg district with 0.79%. Heide Baach landed in the last place of the seven applicants for the office of mayor with 1018 votes or 0.79% across the city and even received fewer votes than the total number of invalid votes (1,585 or 1.21%). The SPD candidate Jürgen Nimptsch was elected mayor of Bonn .
Political demands
Like many groups of voters, the UWG rejects the mandatory faction . It advocates equal opportunities for parties and constituencies and opposes the restriction of direct democratic elements. The program for the 2009 local elections was very vague. They reject ties to “state, ideological, party or economic interest groups” .
She advocates free childcare and greater parental involvement in schools.
The UWG Bonn opposes the enlargement of the districts through further regional reforms and is in favor of the expansion of the autonomy of the municipalities.
It opposes the privatization of municipal service companies.
