The diesel multiple unit ДЭЛ-02 (DEL-02) is a multiple unit created by the Luhansk locomotive factory in Luhansk for the railways in Ukraine especially for fast suburban traffic on non-electrified broad - gauge lines in a moderate climatic environment. It was produced from 2003. As of June 2012, six vehicles have been produced so far.

history

The current development standards of the vehicle manufacturing in the world-class following, also stood for the Ukrainian Railways , the question on the creation of a diesel train with electrical power transmission over AC while taking advantage of AC traction motors . Therefore, the test train ДЭЛ-01 (DEL-01) was built in the Luhansk locomotive factory .

The results of the testing confirmed the basic design decisions. On the basis of the ДЭЛ-01 diesel train , the control systems were revised and the equipment completed. Simultaneously with this modernization, the diesel train ДЭЛ-02 (DEL-02) was built, which differed from the test train by a new design of the car body. In addition, the diesel generator unit for the electrical power transmission was placed under the floor of the car. The driver's cab was built based on the design of locomotives according to the UA 12-03 patent dated June 12, 2003 .

Complete description of the vehicle

The diesel train is intended for the transport of passengers in suburban traffic in regions with a temperate climate on railways with a gauge of 1,520 mm without electrification.

The usual combination of the diesel train is two motor cars and a middle sidecar. The electrical equipment enables the operation of two coupled diesel trains via multiple controls .

The total number of seats on the train is 336. There are 100 seats in the motor car and 136 in the side car.

Technical characteristics

The power transmission of the diesel train is diesel-electric with alternating current , consisting of the diesel engine, the traction generator, the rectifier-inverter unit for the generation of three-phase current and the two three-phase drive motors of the type AD-906 (AD-906). The two traction motors are fed by the autonomous voltage inverter. The microprocessor block of the control provides the optimal work of electrical transmission in the various systems of movement.

The power unit of the diesel train is available in every motor vehicle. It consists of the diesel engine of the type 12V 183 EN the company MTU , the traction generator, produced by the company ООО НИИ "Преобразователь" ( "NII converter"), air filters, radiators and dampers. The power supply for the control system, the lighting and the charging of the battery are also located in the drive module. The entire power unit is located under the car body . The diesel engine is a 12-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine with gas turbine charging and liquid cooling. The power of each diesel engine is 550 kW. The fuel supply for the entire train is 1,500 liters, the fuel tanks are attached to the frame of the motor vehicle.
