Udo Schmidt

Udo Schmidt (* 1945 in the Sauerland ) is a retired vocational school teacher and author of more than 100 non-fiction books in the areas of computer advice, image processing specialist literature and digital photography , as well as crime novels.

The senior student councilor with a doctorate taught economics, politics, history and Spanish at the vocational college in Wuppertal for 38 years until he retired at the age of 67 . From 1985 he also wrote non-fiction books, some of which were translated into Russian and Indonesian. He claims to have written the first German-language manual for Windows .

After shifting his field of interest to photography, he wrote further non-fiction books there, which qualified him for a short position as co-moderator of television programs for the Hessischer Rundfunk . In the field of fiction , he also wrote crime novels.

In addition to his writing and professional activities, he was also a member of the Radevormwald City Council for the FDP and ran for the Bundestag . Udo Schmidt now lives in Niedersprockhövel .
