Ueda Miyoji

Ueda Miyoji ( Japanese 上 田 三四 二 ; * July 21, 1923 , † January 8, 1989 ) was a Japanese poet and literary critic.

In 1961, Ueda received the Gunzō Young Talent Award for Saitō Mokichi-ron . In 1979 he was awarded the Hirabayashi Taiko Literature Prize for Utsushimi kono nai naru shizen and Dosutoefusuki . He received the Yomiuri Literature Prize in the Biographies / Reviews category in 1984 for Kono yo kono sei . In 1986 he was awarded the Noma Literature Prize for Shimaki Akahiko , and in the following year he was honored with the Japanese Academy of Arts Prize for his services to tanka and literature .
