Uffington Castle

Uffington Castle is a hill fort in Oxfordshire . It covers about 3 hectares. The historic entrance is on the east side. Another entrance, which was later closed, can still be found on the west side. The Ridgeway can be overlooked from the complex . About three hundred meters to the northeast is the Uffington White Horse .

The facility is assigned to the early Iron Age . Finds from excavations suggest that it was erected between 800 and 700 BC.
