Ukroboronprom ( Ukrainian Укроборонпром , UOP for short; in German Ukrainian Defense Industry ) is a state- owned corporation that is an association of companies from various sectors of the Ukrainian defense industry .

The group comprises companies that are active in the development, manufacture, sale, repair, modernization and disposal of weapons, military and special equipment and ammunition and that participate in military-technical cooperation with foreign countries. The main motivation here is the possibility of combining scientific, experimental, industrial companies and special exporters in a single administrative structure. The establishment of "Ukroboronprom" promised the more effective organization of an innovation cycle "Research - Development - Series production - Consumption (sales) - Service - Use". The group was founded in December 2010 as a result of cabinet decisions.

The conglomerate currently comprises over 130 companies from the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. In 2014 it employs around 120,000 people, who in 2016 generated an annual surplus of almost 30 billion hryvnia. The group includes KrAZ , Antonow , KMDB , the Malyshev plant , the Mykolaiv shipyard and Ivchenko Progress .
