Ulithi is a commune ( municipality ) of the Micronesian sub state Yap .
The municipality includes the Ulithi Atoll , the Turtle Islands (Pau, Bulubul, Losiep), the islets of the Zohhoiiyoru Bank (Iar, Giliap) and the island of Falalop .
geography
Falalop is mainly referred to as the main town of Ulithi, but is not located in the Ulithi Atoll of the same name , but a few kilometers from its eastern reef rim, separated from the atoll by a passage about 40 meters deep ( Dochirichi Channel ).
In addition to the administrative togetherness, the Ulithi Atoll, Falalop, the Turtle Islands and the Zohhoiiyoru Bank have one thing in common - they are all above sea level peaks of the same seamount (= submarine mountains).
