Ulla Isaksson (born June 12, 1916 in Stockholm , Sweden ; † April 24, 2000 there ) was a Swedish author and screenwriter .

Life

Isaksson was born in Sweden in 1916. In 1940 she began her novel Trädet . She wrote her first screenplay in 1953 for the film Kvinnohuset .

In 1978 she received an honorary doctorate in philosophy. In 1995 she was awarded the Selma Lagerlöf Prize and in 1999 the special prize of the De Nio literary society.

Isaksson died in Sweden in 2000 at the age of 83.
