Ulrich Hahnen (born May 10, 1952 in Krefeld ; † January 9, 2016 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) in North Rhine-Westphalia . From 2010 he was a member of the SPD in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1994 he was a member of the council of the city of Krefeld and at the same time chairman of the SPD council group.

Life

Cocks was born in 1952 in Krefeld, attended school with 1971 High School in 1971. He then began training as a financial consultant at the School of Finance of North Rhine-Westphalia in North churches , from which he graduated in 1974 with a degree in financial administration. He then worked in financial administration until his election to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. He died on January 9, 2016 after suffering from cancer.

Hahnen was married and left behind a son and a daughter.

Political career

Hahnen joined the SPD in 1969 . Since 1977 he has been a member of the board of the local SPD association Krefeld-Bockum and since 1993 deputy chairman of the SPD Krefeld. From 1980 to 1994 he was a member of the Krefeld-Ost district council, and since 1994 he has been a member of the Krefeld City Council and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there. In May 2010 he was elected as a direct candidate in the state constituency of Krefeld I in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . Here he was a member of the Budget and Finance Committee, the Personnel Subcommittee and the Budgetary Control Committee. He was deputy chairman of the budget and finance committee; he was chairman of the Personnel Subcommittee.
