Ulrich Hildebrandt (born June 15, 1949 in Bautzen ) is a German surgeon.

Life

Hildebrandt studied medicine at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He became a member of the Corps Palaiomarchia-Masovia in Kiel (1970) and the Corps Isaria in Munich (1975). In 1977 he was the Technical University of Munich to Dr. med. PhD. He completed his surgical training with Gernot Feifel , with whom he moved from the University Hospital of Munich to the University Hospital of Saarland . Then he was chief physician in Salzgitter and Pritzwalk .

Since 2016, Hildebrandt has been committed to warning of the dangers of the economization of the health system through media appearances such as the Nachtcafé , Hart aber Fair or the SWR .

With his book Die Krankenhausverdiener he achieved a bestseller with nationwide media coverage. The Chirurgische Allgemeine published the reviews of a Munich surgeon and a Dortmund clinic manager.

In October 2019 he published his second book The Minister of Health , in which he explains the structures of the German health system and suggests possible solutions.
