Ulrich II of Constance
Ulrich II of Constance (* unknown; † 1140 ) was Bishop of Constance from 1127 to 1138.
Life
Bishop Ulrich II of Constance had Castell Castle torn down in 1128 . This was built around 1120 by his predecessor, Bishop Ulrich I of Kyburg-Dillingen (1111–1127), to secure the episcopal possessions.
The reason for the destruction was a dispute between Ulrich II. Von Konstanz and Count Rudolf von Bregenz . Ulrich II wanted to prevent the castle from being able to serve as support during a siege of Constance by Count Rudolf.
He inaugurated the church in Rötenberg in 1128. On 30 November 1132 he inaugurated in Pfäffikon at the site of the later St. Anna Chapel, a chapel dedicated to St. Apostle Andrew a.
Ulrich resigned in 1138 and died in 1140.
