Ulrich Rotpletz

Ulrich Rotpletz or Latinized Uodalricus Rotpletz was rector of the University of Freiburg several times in the 15th century .

Rotpletz came from Villingen and appears for the first time in the matriculations on April 27, 1460, when the university began teaching . On May 8, 1460, he was named a priest of the Diocese of Constance . In 1473 he was sacrorum canonicum (doctor of canon law ) and rector of the university. For the second time he was rector in 1477/78, for the third time in 1485/86 and for the fourth time in 1488. In 1482 he was vicar on the benefices in Ehingen an der Donau . In 1495 he bequeathed his library to the Freiburg Artistic Faculty.
