Ulrich Urban
Ulrich Urban (* in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German conductor and pianist .
Life
Urban studied piano with Günter Kootz and conducting with Rolf Reuter at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music in Leipzig . He became a lecturer in 1969 and professor for piano there in 1991 . Urban works with more than 40 orchestras and has produced for 20 broadcasters. He works with Gustav Schmahl , Hans-Georg Jaroslawski , Erkki Rautio , Ludwig Streicher , Nicolai Gedda and Sascha Vectomov , among others .
