Ulrike Posche

Ulrike Posche (* 1957 ) is a German journalist and author.

Life

Ulrike Posche studied political science, German and journalism in Münster. She graduated from the Henri Nannen School . In 1987 she came to the weekly magazine stern as an editor , for which she now works as an author and reporter.

Ulrike Posche has observed and described the Federal Chancellors Helmut Kohl and Gerhard Schröder for over two decades. The historian Gregor Schöllgen wrote in his biography of Schröder: "The Stern reporter has accompanied him since 1990. Schröder trusts her, opens up and gives her insights into his inner life."

Ulrike Posche received the Emma Journalist Prize in 2010 for a portrait of Chancellor Angela Merkel .

Since 2015 she has been a board member of the Swiss Hans Ringier Foundation, which runs the Ringier School of Journalism .
