Ultraman (triathlon) is a particularly long variant of the triathlon , whereby the distances to be covered significantly exceed those of the simple Ironman . An Ultraman consists of 10 km swimming, 421 km cycling and 84 km running, the latter being a double marathon .

organization

An ultraman is held over three days. On the first day there is swimming as well as the first 145 km of cycling, with no break between these two disciplines, as is usual in triathlon. On the second day, the rest of the bike path is covered. The competition ends with the double marathon on the third day. Today's top-class athletes need just under 24 hours to complete an Ultraman.
