The Umbosero ( Russian Умбозеро ) is a lake on the Kola Peninsula in Murmansk Oblast in Russia . It is named after its drain, the umba .

The lake lies between the Chibinen massif in the west and the Lowosero tundra in the east. The area of ​​the lake fluctuates between 313 and 422 km², its water level fluctuates around 1.2 m per year. The lowest water level is in May and the highest in July. Its average water depth is 15 m, the maximum depth 115 m.

The lake freezes in late October.
