The area around the Brettorfer Schlatt is a landscape protection area (LSG) in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg .

The 86.10 ha LSG with the number LSG OL 00028 (see list of landscape protection areas in the district of Oldenburg ), which was designated as LSG in 1976, is located in the northeastern area of ​​the municipality of Dötlingen in the Brettorf district , which is named after it. The Brettorfer Schlatt means the black-headed gull , a two-hectare Schlatt , which has been designated as a natural monument ND 139 with its large black-headed gull colony since 2005 (see list of natural monuments in Dötlingen ) and is located within the LSG.
