Brettorf is a district of the municipality of Dötlingen in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg .

geography

Brettorf lies in the Wildeshauser Geest . The districts of Haidhäuser and Uhlhorn also belong to the peasantry . The village, about six kilometers away from the Hunte , currently has 872 inhabitants. (As of June 30, 2010).

To the north of Brettorf is the black-headed black-headed gull slat, about two hectares in size . Since 2005 the water with its large black-headed gull colony has been  designated as a natural monument 139 (see list of natural monuments in Dötlingen ).

history

Brettorf was first mentioned in a document around 1270. In 1898 the place received a train station on the Delmenhorst – Hesepe railway line , which was retained by the NordWestBahn .

In 1999 Brettorf was the district winner in the competition " Our village should be more beautiful ".

societies

In addition to the gymnastics club, there is a shooting club, a mixed choir, the volunteer fire brigade and, as an umbrella, the Brettorfer Vereine working group. The village is particularly famous for its success in fistball . The TV Brettorf was able to win several medals.

Infrastructure

In the center of the town there is a stop on the Delmenhorst – Hesepe railway , which connects the town every hour via the RB  58 with Bremen and Osnabrück.

Brettorf has its own sports facility and a sports hall on Bareler Weg.
