Hockensberg is a district and one of 15 farmers in the municipality of Dötlingen in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg in the Wildeshauser Geest nature reserve .

The village, four kilometers east of the center of Dötlingen, has 476 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2010). It is located on the border with the municipality of Harpstedt . The individual farms in Pfennigstedterfeld located on Bundesstrasse 213 also belong to the Hockensberg farming community .

The area around the Friedenseiche and memorial was transformed in a 72-hour campaign by rural youth in 2007 from a simple meadow into a cozy resting place.

The Federal Highway 1 runs south three kilometers away. The Altonaer Mühlbach flows through the village .
