Umran az-Zuʿbi

Umran ʿAhid az-Zuʿbi ( Arabic عمران عاهد الزعبي, DMG ʿUmrān ʿĀhid az-Zuʿbī ; * September 27, 1959 in Damascus , United Arab Republic ; † July 6, 2018 ) was a Syrian lawyer and politician. He was a member of the Council of Ministers of Syria and was Minister of Information since June 23, 2012.

He studied at the Faculty of Law at Damascus University and worked as a lawyer after graduating. Az-Zuʿbi has published a number of papers in the fields of civil and commercial law, politics and the media. He also taught at Damascus University for eight years.
