Umut Kaya (born May 31, 1987 in Alkmaar ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Kaya was trained by Karlsruher SC in his youth , but began his professional career in Turkey in 2007 at Alanyaspor . In 2009 he moved to Göztepe Izmir and was loaned to Sarıyer SK . After brief stops at Yeni Malatyaspor and Turgutluspor , he ended up at Aydınspor 1923 in 2011 , where he had his most successful period to date. In 83 games he scored 19 goals, he also celebrated promotion as first place with his club.

In 2014 he moved to Göztepe Izmir a second time. With this club he finished the 2014/15 season as a champion of the TFF 2nd Lig and rose to the TFF 1st Lig. At the end of the season he left the club again and moved to Kocaeli Birlikspor .
