Environmental advocacy
Environmental attorneys (also regional environmental attorneys ) are institutions in Austria that have been set up to represent the public interests in environmental and nature conservation in certain administrative procedures . In addition, the environmental advocacy offices provide information and information for citizens on environmental issues and take a position on draft legislation .

The environmental advocacy offices are also anchored in some federal law matters, especially in the law on the assessment of environmental compatibility (UVP-G) and in the waste management law .
