Environmental Park "Antonis Tritsis"

The Park of environmental awareness "Antonis Tritsis" ( Greek Πάρκο Περιβαλλοντικής Ευαισθητοποίησης "Αντώνης Τρίτσης" Parko Perivallondikís Evesthitopíisis "Andonis Trítsis" ) and Environmental Park "Antonis Tritsis" is a public park in Ilio , a suburban community of Greek capital Athens . With an area of ​​around 1.2 km², it is one of the largest parks in Greece . The park is located in the northeast of Ilio on the municipality border with Agii Anargyri-Kamatero . It was founded by local residents in 1832. The final name of the park was given due to the activities it organized and the interest of the former mayor of Athens, Antonis Tritsis .
