Una Una ( Indon. Pulau Una Una ; also Una-Una or Unauna ) is an Indonesian island near the equator . The approximately 50 km² island is located in the Gulf of Tomini near Sulawesi . Geographically, Una Una belongs to the Togian Islands , administratively to the province of Sulawesi Tengah .

The active stratovolcano Colo occupies the largest part of the island, which is up to 507 m high . Until 1983 Una Una was mostly overgrown with coconut palms and 7000 people lived on the island. Before a devastating eruption of the Colo in July 1983 Una Una had to be evacuated, the island was almost completely devastated by pyroclastic currents . At the moment only about 200 people live on Una Una, most of the original residents could not return.
