Undine von Blottnitz
Undine-Uta Bloch von Blottnitz (born August 20, 1936 in Berlin ; † March 3, 2001 in Dannenberg ) was a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She was a member of the European Parliament from 1984 to 1989 and from 1994 to 1999 .
She was born on August 20, 1936 as Freiin von Reißwitz and Kadersin in Berlin. On October 22nd, 1996 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon by the then Federal President Roman Herzog for “conveying basic political values” . As a founding member of the Greens , she campaigned against nuclear power and for women's rights throughout her life.
