The Unfallkasse Saarland (UKS) is a statutory accident insurance provider based in Saarbrücken .

Organization and bodies

The UKS is a state-owned and legally responsible public corporation with the right to self-administration . The organs of the UKS are the representative assembly and the board of directors .

tasks

The tasks of the UKS include:

  • The prevention of accidents at work , occupational diseases and work-related health hazards and
  • in the event of accidents at work, the restoration of the health and productivity of the insured, including compensation for the insured or their survivors

Members

UKS members are:

  • Companies of the Saarland and the Saarland of the municipalities and municipal associations as well
  • Companies in an independent legal form in which the state, municipalities or associations of municipalities are predominantly involved or have a decisive influence.

financing

The UKS is financed through annual contributions from its members.
