Shamila Lengsfeld

Shamila Lengsfeld (* 1990 in Konstanz on Lake Constance) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Shamila Lengsfeld grew up in Konstanz on Lake Constance. After graduating from high school in 2009, she completed an apprenticeship as a clerk for film theater management in Wuppertal and worked as a projectionist in various arthouse cinemas. She then began studying film at the SAE Institute in Cologne , which she successfully completed in 2016. The sci-fi short film about the superhero Blake was awarded the German Young Talent Film Prize in 2017 at the international up-and-coming film festival in Hanover . Part of the award consisted of a sponsorship with a successful producer from the film and television industry. In the case of Shamila Lengsfeld, that was the Cologne producer Kristina Löbbert from Panthaleon Films , who is still promoting the director to this day.
