Quality management / CIRPS

Quality assurance in the AUVA treatment facilities is based on the needs and wishes of patients, employees and the organization. In this sequence of priorities, a model was introduced that supports the practical work on site.

As in all AUVA accident hospitals, the error reporting system CIRPS (Critical Incident Reporting and Prevention System) was introduced in Klagenfurt by the end of 2011. This is an overall concept for reporting, processing and preventing adverse events in the treatment of patients.

history

On November 4, 1953, the accident hospital in Klagenfurt was put into operation. In 1966 the decision was made to modernize the accident hospital through an extension and renovation. In the past 50 years, medicine as a whole, and with it trauma surgery, has experienced rapid development. The diagnostic and therapeutic technology in trauma surgery has been completely changed several times during this time. While the UKH Klagenfurt was founded in the 1950s as an occupational accident hospital in order to reduce the consequences of occupational accidents including retirement and disability, today a large number of patients visit the accident hospital because of sports and leisure accidents as well as traffic accidents.
