Unicaja Arukasur Almería is a Spanish men's volleyball club from Almería . He currently plays in the Superliga , the highest Spanish league.

history

The successful times of Unicaja Arukasur Almería only began in the 1990s, at that time under the name Unicaja Almería. The volleyball club has played in the super league since 1992, and in 1995 they won their first title by winning the cup. Since then, eight championship titles and five more cup wins have followed; the first two Supercups in Spain could also be won. In international events, 3rd place in the Top Teams Cup in 2001 earned them a place in the Champions League, in which they are now firmly established. In July 2006 it was renamed Unicaja Arukasur Almería. This year the club was able to win the Supercup for the third time.
