The Union pour le Progrès et le Changement ( UPC ) is a party from Burkina Faso . It has been the most important opposition party in the West African country since 2012 .
UPC was founded in 2010. It brings together well-known opposition politicians and former members, members of parliament as well as former ministers of the dominant ruling party CDP . In the national parliamentary elections in 2012 , she won 19 out of 127 seats in the National Assembly of Burkina Faso .
