United Coalition Party ( Kiribati : Karikirakean Te I-Kiribati, KTK) was a political party in Kiribati in the Maneaba ni Maungatabu (House of Assembly).
history
The party was created in August 2010 through the union of the Kiribati Independent Party and Protect the Maneaba (Maneaban Te Mauri). The new party won 12 seats, making it the largest opposition party and party leader Rimeta Beniamina the leader of the opposition. However, he later moved to the Maurin Kiribati Party (MKP).
In the 2011 parliamentary elections, the party won two seats and was able to present Tetaua Taitai as a candidate for the 2012 presidential election. Taitai won 35% of the vote.
In January 2016 the United Coalition Party united with the MKP to form the Tobwaan Kiribati Party .
