The Tobwaan Kiribati Party (TKP) is a political party in Kiribati .

The party was founded in January 2016 as a merger of the Maurin Kiribati Party and the United Coalition Party and consists of the opposition to former President Anote Tong . The two parties won 19 of the 45 elected seats in the House of Representatives, the Maneaba ni Maungatabu , in the 2015/16 parliamentary elections . Teatao Teannaki , a member of the TKP, was subsequently elected as speaker of parliament.

For the office of president Taneti Maamau was nominated as a candidate for the presidential elections in 2016 , he received 19,833 votes, around 60%, and prevailed against Rimeta Beniamina as the new president of Kiribati in 16 of 23 constituencies .

The name of the party means "Embracing Kiribati" (about "embracing Kiribati").
