1941 was the founding of the Chappell Recorded Music Library by Chales Williams, who recorded the music of the Queens Hall Light Orchestra for exclusive and professional use in films , radio and newsreels .
In 1977, Bruton Music was founded as a subsidiary of ATV Music, FirstCom in 1980 and Atmosphere Music in 1981. Michael Jackson acquired ATV Music in 1982 and sold Bruton Music to Zomba Music Publishing in 1985, which was founded 10 years earlier in South Africa and recorded steady growth. In 1998 Zomba Music Publishing acquired Chappell from the Warner Chappell Music Group, which was integrated into the Bruton Music Office. Zomba Music Publishing acquired FirstCom in 1990. 1991 was the market launch of Bertelsmann Music Group Music Publishing; BMG acquires Killer Tracks. BMG acquired Atmosphere Music and Match in 1995. 1996 saw the launch of Zomba Production Music and the merger of Bruton, Chappell & FirstCom. 2001 was the launch of Galerie; Zomba Production Music acquires Connect 2. Music Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) acquires the Zomba Group in 2002. In 2003, BMG ZOMBA Production Music, Interworld Musikverlag GmbH was launched worldwide.
