The Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar ( UASB ; German  " Andean University Simón Bolívar " ) is a university specializing in postgraduate courses with headquarters in Sucre , Bolivia (since 1985), national headquarters in Quito , Ecuador (since 1992) and Caracas , Venezuela (since 2005) and regional offices in Bogotá , Colombia and La Paz , Bolivia.

It was founded in 1985 by the Andean Parliament and is partially funded by the Andean Community . Therefore, it is particularly committed to the cooperation of the Andean countries, which is evident from the fact that students from these countries get half of the tuition fees waived. The president of the UASB is Ernesto Albán , the rector of the headquarters in Sucre Julio Garrett . The rector of the national headquarters in Ecuador is Enrique Ayala .

In addition to a few open courses, the UASB offers postgraduate courses such as specializations, diplomados , maestrías and doctoral courses, particularly in economics, social sciences and law.
