University of Arak

The University of Arak ( Persian دانشگاه اراک) is a state university founded in 1971 by the University of Tehran in the city of Arak in Iran . The university teaches fields of study in the humanities, agriculture and natural sciences as well as engineering subjects. There is a partnership with the University of Tehran and Kharazmi University . In 1989 the school received university status. The university currently offers 28 courses.

Arak University is currently the largest state university in Markazi Province with more than 12,000 students in Bachelor, Master and PhD programs, with 200 professors teaching full-time.
