The Universidad de Pamplona is a state university in Colombia .
It is based in Pamplona in the Norte de Santander Department (northeast Colombia); there are further campuses in Cúcuta and Villa del Rosario .
history
It was founded in 1960 as a private institution under the direction of Pastor José Faría Bermúdez. In 1970 it became a public university by decree of August 5, 1970 and from 1971 the Colombian Ministry of Education was authorized to award professional titles.
