The University of Finance and Economics Zhejiang ( ZUFE for short ; Chinese 浙江 财经 大学 , Pinyin Zhèjiāng Cáijīng Dàxué ) is a university in Hangzhou , Zhejiang Province , China . The university specializes in economic disciplines and provides training in the natural sciences, law and the humanities.
history
In December 1974, the Zhejiang Public Finance and Banking Academy was established. The name and location have been changed several times. During their freshman year, many students rented houses from nearby silk farms. In 1987 the State Education Commission renamed the academy to its current name. Bachelor degrees have been awarded since 1991, and master degrees and doctorates have been awarded since 2003. The current name of the university was approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 2013.
