The Western University of Vasile-Goldiș (Romanian: Universitatea de Vest Vasile Goldiș ) is a private university in Arad .
description
It was founded on April 26, 1990. The aim of the university was to train specialists in the fields of medicine, science and law. The founder and president of the university is Aurel Ardelean . The opening ceremony took place on October 15, 1990 in the Arad Theater .
Originally the university had two faculties, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Marketing , Management, and Computer Science . Beginning with the academic year 1991–1992, the Faculties of Dentistry and the College of Dental Technology were added. In the following two years, the Faculties of General Medicine and Sport (1993), the Faculty of Human Sciences and the Pedagogical College (1994) came into being.
The university trains 15,000 students annually and is a signatory to the Bologna Process .
