Universitet Vitebsk is a Belarusian sports club from Vitebsk . The association is run by the local university. The club's flagship is the women's football department.

history

The association was founded in 1995. Within eight years the club worked its way up to the first Belarusian league. There they became champions right away and could end the years of dominance of FC Bobruichanka Babrujsk . In 2006/07 and 2007/08 they reached the 2nd round in the UEFA Women's Cup . In the UEFA Women's Champions League 2009/10 , the team was seeded for the round of 32, where they met defending champions FCR 2001 Duisburg and lost 5-1 and 6-3.
