The Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) (German University of Malaysia Sabah , English University Malaysia Sabah ) in Kota Kinabalu , the capital of the state of Sabah, is a state university in Malaysia founded in 1994 .

Structure and organization

The college was founded in 1994 as the ninth university in Malaysia.

The university's chancellor is an honorary post and is filled by a well-known personality, while the university's full-time management is headed by the vice-chancellor .

The university consists of the following faculties and centers:

  • Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Sekolah Kejuruteraan dan Teknologi Maklumat)
  • Faculty of Science and Technology (Sekolah Sains dan Teknologi)
  • Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition (Sekolah Sains Makanan dan Pemakanan)
  • Faculty of International Tropical Forest Sciences (Sekolah Perhutanan Tropika Anatarabangsa)
  • Faculty of Medicine (Sekola Perubatan)
  • Faculty of Sustainable Agriculture (Sekolah Pertanian Lestari)

Labuan campus

The Labuan campus - UMS Kampus Antarabangsa Labuan (UMS KAL) - was founded as a branch on January 1, 1999. In line with Labuan's role as an international financial center, the "International Economics and Finance" and "Information Science" faculties teach on the Labuan campus.
