Unrealized speedboat projects of the small combat units were mostly drafts for small speedboats and hydrofoil boats by Hellmuth Walter , the director of the Walter works in Kiel- Tannenberg, for the German navy , which at the end of the war in May 1945 had not yet got beyond the initial planning approaches.
