Lower Ahornalm

The Untere Ahornalm is an alpine pasture in the community-free area of Eck east of Berchtesgaden .

Two barns of the Untere Ahornalm are under monument protection and are registered under the number D-1-72-116-268 in the Bavarian monument list.

Building description

A Kaser is a single-storey, combed block building with a flat saddle roof and boarded-up west side, which was built in the second quarter of the 19th century.

The forester's hut is also a single-storey, combed block building with a flat gable roof with wooden shingles from the second half of the 19th century.

Todays use

The Untere Ahornalm is still used for agriculture today, the Ahornkaser of the Upper Ahornalm is Germany's highest car restaurant.

location

The Untere Ahornalm is located on the Roßfeldstraße northwest under the Ahornbüchsenkopf at an altitude of about 1280  m above sea level. NHN .
