The lower castle , also called Sickingen moated castle, is an abandoned moated castle below the church of Flehingen (Sickingen) in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle built by the Lords of Sickingen, which was later also owned by Counts Langenstein and Douglas , was first destroyed in the Peasants' War in 1353 and finally in 1525 and demolished in the 19th century. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex, which can no longer be localized. The Upper Castle of the von Sickingen family in the same place has also disappeared today.

However, the moated castle Flehingen is nearby .
