Place: Oberderdingen - Flehingen

The Obere Burg is an abandoned hilltop castle above the church of Flehingen (Sickingen) in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg ,

The castle was built by the Lords of Sickingen and was removed very early. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex, which can no longer be localized. The castle was probably owned by Franz von Sickingen around 1500 , after whom the Sickinger Höhe was named elsewhere .

The Sickingen still owned the lower castle , which had also disappeared, in the same place , and the moated castle Flehingen is in the directly neighboring Flehingen .
